WGJ: Best of 2022

One of my best photographs I took this year

It's almost the end of the year and what better time than now to share the BEST OF Wonder Grace Joy?!

I think the best place to start is my 2022 Favorites Playlist.

Every month, I create a playlist of my favorite found music. At the end of the year, I pull my favorite song from each month and compile it into a Favorites playlist. Here are my favorites from this year (in chronological order):

Pick Me Up- Gabby Barrett
Stars Like Confetti- Dustin Lynch
No Bad Days- Bastille
Humble Quest- Maren Morris
2step- Ed Sheeran, Lil Baby
What My World Spins Around- Jordan Davis
Saved My Life- Andy Grammer, R3HAB
Good Ol' Man- Drew Green
Thank God- Kane Brown, Katelyn Brown
Shore Town Nights- KQHYT KQHYT
Sunshine- Goalkeeper
Sundown Somewhere- Restless Road

You can listen here.

Next up is my posts:

This was fun looking back and getting how many views each post. I was really surprised by the results.

These 5 posts were my most popular without linking them to another post (like Friday Favorites):

Morning and Evening Routines (54 views)
COVID (45 views)
Three Years Later (41 views)
Diary #35 (36 views)
Crohn's Confidential: Embarrassing Moments and Humor (33 views)

These made me giggle. There is no rhyme or reason why these were popular. I love how diverse these posts are and I am in stiches that poop jokes are funny and really relatable across the board. Surprisingly enough, my Morning and Evening Routines post was not promoted on social media in any way. I guess everyone is curious what others do in the morning and evening.

On the flip side, my least popular posts were the ones that I wrote and backdated to the Spring when they were supposed to be published. Life got in the way and I didn't get a chance to write those posts in those months but I did, for posterity finish them. Though two of the posts from September that I published in September and promoted on social media, did not do well at all. Those were Grounds for Sculpture and WGJ #33.

I like looking at both the good and bad of things; it helps me see what, if any trends and allows me to readjust accordingly.

An unexpected favorite that really surprised me was How I Organize My Closet. This was a "Let's Look" prompt/link up from Mix and Match Mama and let me tell, I was not expecting it to get more than 10 views but it got 227 views! I chuckled because I felt like it was a natural progression to a 2016 post where I had originally organized my closet. I appreciate Mix and Match Mama for having this link up because it not only exposes me to bloggers that wouldn't have found me but vice versa. I have found so many blogs I would have never read otherwise.

On the top of linking posts, my most popular Friday Favorite was on December 16th and I got a whopping 284 views. I don't know what made this post so popular- I was #8 in the link up and the photo I used was a mirror selfie of me in my "are you serious, Clark" shirt. Hmmmm.

My best What's Up Wednesday post was in October that I linked with Mix and Match Mama and Shaeffer Told Me. Not sure what made this post so popular too but I am all for it.

I bet you are wondering what my favorite posts are to write....

Crohn's Confidential/// This brings awareness to a disease that many don't know too much about. I am happy to share all my experiences- both good and bad- to shed some light on Crohn's Disease. My hope is to help a reader who is in the thick of being diagnosed and  figuring out what is next.

Diary/// Sharing my snapshots from the month, always make me so happy. I am a visual person so these snapshots sometimes tell a story all on their own.

Dear/// I love looking back at a month and seeing what happened. Its nice to take a moment to have gratitude for what has happened and to see if you have learned anything from it.

Penelope's Adventures/// This is something SO silly but it also brings me so much joy. I think in order to have fun in life, you have to tap into your childlike wonder. I think when other's see you having childlike fun, they give themselves permission to do the same.

Anytime I can share my old photos or provide advice/// I don't have siblings and this is my way of sharing my experiences.

I could keep going on with my favorite posts, let's just say, 99% of the posts I write, are my favorite.  They are all so unique and full of lots of love.

That was a fun look back on a record year. Thank you for reading along and supporting me on this fun journey.  I can't wait to see what 2023 holds for me.
