| Always plan for a rainy day |
I have goals...everyone does; but this year I wanted to try something different.
2016 was the first year I posted the goals I set for myself. In addition to my yearly goals, I also set monthly goals that year. (I was really ambitious that year!)
In 2021, I posted this "Dave Rasmey 7 Goals to Set" and I set a few goals for that year.
In 2022, I set 4 goals. They were abstract/vague. I just went for it. It was fun in a way trying to accomplish those goals. In the end, I completing those 4 goals to the best of my ability. I was really pleased about it.
This year, I started thinking about my goals again in relation to where I was in my life, where I am going in life, and what I want out of life. This year is a big year for me, birthday wise (35!) and I knew this year I wanted to different.
I decided to re-visit the Dave Rasmey 7 Areas to Set Goals in this year.
I thought about each area he suggested, and I came up with two goals for each category- ambitious I know.
I am going to keep most of them private, but I am going to share 4 of them:
1. $5 bill Challenge
I am saving every $5 bill I come across in a Mason Jar. At the end of the year, I will tally up how many $5 bills I saved and then put the money towards a savings goal.
2. 12 in 12 5K's
After running 2 5K's last year, I got the idea to run a 5K each month. I have a blog post on this explaining what run's I am planning on doing. I think this will be a fun challenge and it will get me outside and meeting new people.
3. Try Something New Each Month
In the year of trying to make new friends and putting myself out there, I want to try something new. January started off with learning how to use a Cricut craft machine. There is definitely a learning curve to it and I am eager to actually get more familiar with it.
4. Use my prayer journal weekly
I've had my prayer journal since mid 2020 and I've used it on and off since then. I would like to use it more consistently and to use it in a more fulfilling way.
-----------
There you have it a sneak peak of my 2023 goals. I am really excited to see how I accomplish these goals this year. Can't wait to look back and see what happens next.
Do you have yearly goals?
