January Work #OOTD

Hi Friends!

I am back starting the year off strong with another attempt to try to document my year of work outfits.
Last year, I got to June (only posted until May) and then life got in the way. This year, I am keeping it simple and seeing how far I get.  I absolutely love the idea of wearing everything I own, in multiple different ways. If I find something that I wore, is either too small, too big or just doesn't fit me well, off to the thrift shop it goes.

January was a learning month. I forgot to a take a photo one day; I was off a few days and I was trying to figure out the best angle to take my #ootd photos.

Starting the month off strong: I paired my black and white skirt (thrifted) with a plum turtleneck and black tights and booties for an updated winter look. Light blue, white and tan will always be a favorite of mine. Its classic and goes well in all seasons.  That red sweater was so necessary for a cold day and the week ended with another neutral and a pop of leopard print which is neutral in my world.

Week two of 2024 was full of patterns and chunky necklaces. I am shopping my closet and trying to use everything I own. I love my thrifted pieces (bottom two shirts and my flower necklace). Keeping things simple in the pants/skirt to really let the tops speak for themselves. My striped shirt and paper bag waist pants are a repeat from last year BUT are so cute and versatile- changing the necklace and shoes to get different looks.

Week three of 2024: Monday was a holiday (and my birthday) and then Tuesday was a sick day for me. On Wednesday and Thursday, I went with tried and true outfits from prior years and then Friday, I think I missed the mark. I tried to re-create a look for many years ago and it just flopped with me. #itried

First week in January where I remembered to take #ootd photos.
LOVE the jacket with the fringe. I bought it two years ago and found it buried, best find of the year. Leopard accents were huge this week and that red sweater was a repeat favorite for another cold day.

Last few days in January; The blue top had a nice button detail on the shoulder (not pictued) and it was so pretty in person. My black and white dress had lavender accents to try to usher in the Spring weather and my navy and white top was a great way to end this month as its one of my favorite (thrifted) finds.

BONUS:

Bonus Days: On New Year's Day, I wore my favorite confetti top. My birthday I went comfortable and cozy with navy and grey and then my adventure day was rugged with my blue vest from gap from the early 2000s and my hiking (through the stores) boots. ALSO why does Dick's Sporting Goods have such a great #ootd mirror?!

Gosh, I forgot how much I loved talking about my outfits and this post definitely brought back the joy. I am looking forward to sharing more outfits with you this year!
