Welcome to Crohn’s Confidential!
This month, I am bringing awareness about Crohn’s Disease. I was diagnosed 6 years ago and it has been a roller coaster ride ever since. One year ago TODAY, I was at UPenn Hospital having surgery that was to give me the ability to live a more normal life and to not let Crohn’s Disease rule my life. Flash forward to the present, I am able to live my life pretty normal and my symptoms are minimal. I am happy that I have been on this crazy journey even though it has been difficult at times; this journey has made me who I am today and I couldn't be any more proud of the woman I am today.

During this month, I will be talking about my personal Crohn’s Disease journey; what I was thinking before and after surgery; how to let your support team support you; how to handle rude comments and questions about Crohn’s Disease; and providing resources for Crohn’s Disease among other topics.
I am very excited to share this with you; this is my life and living with it something can be hard but I am forever grateful for the path I am on. I hope you can take away from these posts that not all disabilities are visible; each person might be fighting a battle you have no idea about and you learn about Crohn's Disease affects more people that you might realize.
