Fun Date Ideas for Everyone

Valentine's Day is coming up and I wanted to share some date ideas that you could do with anyone! It doesn't matter if it's your significant other, your children, your friends, your family, your neighbors, or your fur child. Valentine's day is for all types of love, and you should celebrate it! 

For those who want to go out and do something other than a fancy (and overpriced) dinner, I would suggest:

Aquarium- for the marine animal lover; Spring to feed the penguins or play with the seals.

Zoo- for the animal lover; Book a behind the scenes tour.

Bonus: find a zoo/aquarium scavenger hunt page on pinterest and try to find all those things. 

Hike- go to your favorite trail or try a new trail in your area. 

Picnic- in a park, on the trail, in your backyard, in your living room in a fort made from sheets. Pack everything in a basket or backpack and don't forget the fancy stuff.

Beach- even when it's cold out, it's absolutely beautiful to see the beach. Sometimes the shells that wash up on the shore will surprise you. 

I think I saw in Atlantic City on the beach outside of one of the casinos, huge conch shells washed up. They were just all sitting there, waiting in plain sight. 

Progressive dinner - have drinks at one place, appetizers at one place, first course at another, dessert at another and after dinner drinks at another place. (Works best in an area where there are a lot of places in one place.) 

Explore new town/city - pick a town/city that you've been wanting to check out and go for it. Spend the whole day there wandering in and out of the shops, eating at all the restaurants, seeing all the sights. 

Spa Date- pick your favorite spa or try a new one and book a couples massage or mani pedi. Who doesn't love to be pampered?! 

For those who enjoy more quiet or subtle things, I would suggest:

Game night- everyone brings a game and snacks. 

Movie marathon - Have a favorite series (Despicable Me or Fast and the Furious)? Grab snacks and some blankets, wear your favorite comfy clothes then settle down onto the couch and enjoy all your favorites. 

Make dinner together - Find a new recipe to try, go food shopping together and then go home a and try it out. To make fun, buy each other fun aprons (bonus if you get chef's hats too!)

Art or Craft Night- This could be done at home or at a craft studio/paint and sip places. Get creative and have fun with it!
