2020 in Numbers

This was quite the year. This blog one of my bright spots this year and I am so happy to have this slice of internet to share my life on.
I love numbers and data so like any other numbers nerd, I have gathered up my year in numbers.

This was quite the year in numbers. Even though this year was rough... I think this year shined light on what was really important and what really mattered. With that being said, I cannot wait to give 2020 the boot and see what 2021 has to offer.

I found this online last night and it made me laugh:

On a lighter and happier note,

Last year the Time Square Alliance, let you submit your wish for the new years and this was mine last year.

You can submit your wishes this year here.

I won't share this years wish, in hopes that it will come true. I can say, my wish from last year did come true, I did find happiness, good health and joyful moments this year- even amid the craziness.

Do you analyze your year in numbers? Did anything surprise you?

[[you should tell people how important they are to you. Always.]]

New Season of Life

Hello! Happy 2020!

Can you believe it? Its here- 2020! The year of clear vision and new opportunites.

I feel like this year I have entered into a new season of my life.

How do I know?

I turned 32 last week! I had a great report from my gastroenterologist from my colonoscopy and something clicked inside me- this is the first time in at least 6 years that I am feeling the best I can AKA being symptom free and I feel as if I am back to my old goofy self. Being back to my old goofy self is something I lost in the past few years and its really nice to have her back.

Being symptom free and being my old goofy self at the same time is something rare and it needs to be celebrated- hence a new season in my life. The last season was hard, trying and eye opening ( more on that in a future post).

I am curious to see what this season has in store for me. I missed blogging a lot. The last year, I was getting my life back together and when I was blogging back in September,  the posts were short and melancholy- that was my life at that particular moment in time. Someone who I thought I knew told me very bluntly, that I was complaining. I was taken aback by this and it hurt a lot. I know I was in bleh place back then but that is to be expected after what I had gone through. I learned from that person and I grew from that. I decided I am not going to let someone tell me what to do.

Since its been a minute, I think introductions are in order.

I'm Gabrielle, 32 and living in New Jersey.
I am quirky and smart and funny.
Three things I love: Reading, Painting and Going to the Gym.
I've had Crohn's Disease for 5 years and currently symptom free.
Things I love are my family, bright colors, coincidences, life, yoga and random acts of kindness among other things.
I work as a paralegal for the last 8 years and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
Blogging has been part of my life for a better part of the decade and I am excited to share more with you!

Life is wonderfully crazy, enjoy it while you can.
