Dear May

Hi May! Boy I am glad to see you! Since last month was so good, I am hoping you will continue with the good trend.

Lets see the highlights from the month:

  • More books read
  • Promotion at work
  • More beautiful weather
  • Jumped back into dating and then got my heart broken
  • Mask mandate was lifted
  • Finished Greek, started watching the Affair
  • Productivity fluctuated at work
  • 1st paddle board session of the year
This was an interesting month. I had no idea what to expect when I decided to go back on Tinder and Bumble. To be honest, I didn't have high hopes, I figured I would chat with a few men and then they would ghost me. Well, I ended up having a great time on the first date in 17 months. I felt like I was a kid in a candy store. We hit it off and ended up going out a few more times. It ended up not working out and while I was very disappointed, I was happy I put myself out there. Online dating is odd and while its 2021, I am just not sold on it.

This month, I also tried (indoor) rock climbing again. Almost 3 years ago, I went indoor rock climbing for the very time and while it was super scary to be up so high, even with a harness but it was really empowering. On one of the dates I went on this month, we did a Chipotle and indoor rock climbing date. The guy had climbed actual rocks and did this for fun; me on the other hand, tried it once. We had so much fun and even though afterwards, I was covered in chalk and sweaty and my hair was messy, I was so happy.  I looked forward to trying it again.

This month spoiled us with beautiful weather and I wore a sundress for the first time this year. Something happens when the weather becomes  warmer- life becomes lighter? Does that make sense? Also warmer weather always makes me want to listen to my pop punk emo playlists on Spotify. I have no idea what the connection between warmer weather and that genre is but I am here for it.

Still a huge book worm this month, didn't read as many books as  I did last month but the books I did read this month, I LOVED. Thank you Libby for being amazing.

How can June top this month? I guess I will have to wait and see.
